Stay at The Sheep, Stow-on-the-Wold

The Sheep is a quiet, comfortable, well-appointed hotel, in an idyllic setting above an amazing pub and restaurant. The staff was, without exception, charming and helpful. Our room was spacious, and the bed was a comfortable cloud with just the right firmness. Scott is a treasure, both for his easy-going hospitality and his friendly manner. He offered advice on local options and treated us like family. Although it is a busy area, Stow-on-the-Wold is great if you enjoy a ramble through the country, followed by a hard-earned pint at one of the local pubs. We found it to be just the right balance of quiet countryside and things to see and do. The Sheep is high on our list to return to some day.
